I am still reeling from the evidence before my eyes that such a production could be staged with this level of confidence by the sheer force of your drive and leadership. Well done Sarah you have skipped the impossible to realise the fruit at the root of drama.

site specific live theatre

At heart, we believe in bringing theatre to the people rather than people to traditional theatre spaces.

HyperFusion's performances range from site specific productions to theatre 'experiences' in unusual and unexpected places within the community, making each show a unique and exciting adventure through theatre. The productions range from full blown musicals, new writing, plays, devised pieces and theatre 'experiences that combine theatrical genres.

The Full Monty

8 men. Unemployed. Sick of life with nowhere to go and nothing to lose. Except their clothes! Based on the 1997 film, this award winning Broadway musical follows the lives of 8 guys as they plan to give a performance the local community will never forget! A beautifully poignant and charming story that resonates deeply with its message of hope, friendship and love.

'Hyperfusion have always pushed boundaries and always strived to achieve more both in rehearsals and every performance!'
Michael Bell, professional actor

shakers

Shakers by John Godber

The Shakers tour saw audiences sitting in a real bar drinking and watching as the story of four young cocktail bar waitresses unfold. Shakers was written at the height of the 'Thatcherite' yuppie revolution, when every town in the UK had its ubiquitous cocktail bar and showed a hilarious insight into their hopes, dreams and disappointments amidst the madness of the many punters who enter.

Shakers Cocktail Bar is THE place to be! After work, before a club, to meet the blokes, to pick up the girls, to drink to celebrate or drown your sorrows, for birthdays and parties and romance and sin, this is the place to be seen. John Godber's sparkling writing builds on the success of his earlier 'Bouncers' to create a richly absorbing yet tellingly revealing modern comedy.

'A mind expanding experience.'

A trusting game show

A trusting game show

How do young people communicate in an ever changing world. Set up as a 'workshop' the participants soon began to realize all is not as it seems as this interactive theatre experience unfolds. Issues such as emotional honesty, communication, self expression and bullying were explored in a Promenade Theatre style with a difference.

'The interaction was fascinating, Try it and it will totally involve you.'
Rosemary, Audience member

LISTEN!

LISTEN!

Jenna just wants to be normal but it seems everything she does leads to more trouble. The letter said they could help her but as things spiral from bad to worse she doesn't know where to turn. Listen has been produced for the Primary Care Trust as part of their government initiated You're Welcome project exploring how young people access services. Issues including mental health, sexual health, peer pressure and communication to adults are explored. The project worked with Year 10 pupils as well as adult service providers and will form part of the future You're Welcome document for all service providers.

'Entertaining but also thought provoking and informative production. The cast buzz with energy and work well as a team to deliver an extremely difficult subject successfully to young people. The play was both worthwhile and meaningful, and we would recommend it to any school.' Tamsin Poulter, Deputy Head, Turnford School, Cheshunt.
